We were recently contacted by a blogger by the name of Kaare Long who wanted to do an article on Shoo-Foo, specifically, the benefits and sustainability of bamboo over cotton and the overall values we hold here at Shoo-Foo. We are always delighted to help spread the ideas and values we hold so closely, whether that be the push to a more sustainable life, guilt-free shopping or even just super soft bed clothes!
Kaare is the creative director of Cue Creative Consulting, a community leader and entrepreneurial spirit, and above all else, a single mother of two. Kaare somehow finds the time amongst all this to maintain her blog, a Mom’s Guide to Rockin Life by Rockin The Boat on KaareLong.com. She has made it her mission to help break the myth in modern commercial culture, that THERE IS ALWAYS A CHOICE! The culture I’m referring to is the over-marketing, over-branding and over-saturation of mass-produced commercial goods in our lives. It’s understandable that most eventually fall victim to the constant assault on the senses from these large, faceless, and sometimes unethical companies that cause people to feel they are the only option out there.
This is where Kaare steps in. Her mission is to help “search out and find the hidden gems, the smaller miracles and blessed places that are not overproduced, oversold , over marketed and saturated into our lives so much that we feel there is no other choice”.You can see how Shoo-Foo and Kaare are a good fit!
Kaare struggled to find a company she really wanted to support, and finally, her search lead her right to us! Once she saw what we were all about, her decision was made. Now all that Kaare needed to do was test our product. Had she found the “unicorn of sheets” she had been searching for?
I’ll let Kaare’s own words do the talking: “Can I tell you? Unicorns do truly exist! These sheets were simply amazing. They were luxurious to sleep in, comfortable and kept me warm on colder nights and cool on warmer nights. They didn’t wrap around my body and strangle me…which I found cotton sheets liked to do”.
Thank you Kaare for your very kind words and all your work in helping to discover and promote us.
