The SDGs

Are you familiar with the United Nations World's To Do List for a Better World?

At Shoo-Foo, we are focusing at two of the United Nations World’s To Do List for a Sustainable Future.

SDG 12 Sustainable Consumption & Production

SDG 12 Ensure Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns

"On that occasion, sustainable consumption and production was identified as one of the three overarching objectives of, and essential requirements for, sustainable development, together with poverty eradication and the management of natural resources in order to foster economic and social development. It was acknowledged that fundamental changes in the way societies produce and consume are indispensable for achieving global sustainable development."

By manufacturing and promoting products made from organic, renewable and eco sustainable resources,
  • Shoo-Foo contributes at reducing toxins in the environment and improving the health of families.

By offering good quality, durable home linens and bedding at reasonable prices,

  • we contribute at reducing the need for over-consumption and are reducing everyone eco footprint at the same time.
Our goal is to make it easier for most families to choose eco healthy fabrics for their home linens. When more people make the shift to non-toxic linens and bedding, less toxins will contaminate our soil and water, less waste will end up in the landfill and healthier we will be as a society.

SDG 15 Life on Land

"Sustainable Development Goal 15 aims to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.

Forests have a significant role in reducing the risk of natural disasters, including floods, droughts, landslides and other extreme events. At global level, forests mitigate climate change through carbon sequestration, contribute to the balance of oxygen, carbon dioxide and humidity in the air and protect watersheds, which supply 75% of freshwater worldwide.
By providing alternatives to regular cotton, microfiber, and other synthetic fabrics for home linens,
  • we are contributing at keeping forests alive. Bamboo “forests” produce 35% more oxygen than other types of trees, don’t need any water or fertilisers to grow healthy, and provide a living to many families.

At Shoo-Foo, we are very concerned by the health of forests around the World. Planting trees for each order is a first step in our commitment to help protect and re-generate forests. We are constantly looking for creative ways to be involved in regenerating, protecting, and respecting the life of our forests.
