- Best Health, March/April 2009, p. 26 “Branch into Bamboo” – Shoo-Foo’s “eco-friendly throw” is featured in this issue of Best Health, describing owner Dany Filion’s quest to China to find a sustainable fabric that would leave as few imprints on the earth as possible.
- Western Living Condo, Spring – Summer, 2008 p.14 “The Home Spa” – Shoo-Foo towels get a spot of spa worthiness, being named as “incredibly soft,” “anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic and easy on the earth.”
- Green Space (BIV Magazine), 2008, p.42 “Green At Home” – Shoo-Foo bamboo towels are featured as being made from a resource that is “totally biodegradable and naturally regenerative.”
- Shared Vision July, 2007, p.9 “Bamboo on the Beach” – In this publication, Shoo-Foo towels are “not just for pandas anymore.” But even if they were, what panda would argue about “guilt-free” and “sumptuous towels” made from “cashmere soft” bamboo fibers? Beats the half-pound of chemicals per t-shirt found in our regular old cotton these days!
- Western Living, August, 2007, p.12 ‘T’ is for ‘towels’! – Here we see bamboo as a cousin to “silk, linen, hemp and wool as an alternative to pesticide-heavy cotton.” And, thanks to companies like Shoo-Foo, bamboo is now being used for making towels. What a neat thing to make out of something that is soft, absorbent and antibacterial…
- Georgia Straight Living, Summer 2007, p.17 “Dry This” – Shoo-Foo towels appear in the Kitchen and Bath section of this publication and are described as “mega-thirsty,” indicating the super-absorbency of bamboo fiber compared to cotton (four times greater).
